Byens skyline, som fortsatt er under konstruksjon, er veldig unik og ganske fascinerende å se på. Hvert bygg er veldig distinkt, men ser ikke ut til å forlate den arabiske følelsen for langt bak. Livet i Doha dreier seg rundt Corniche, den lange strandpromenaden langs Doha Bay, et perfekt sted å slappe av og nyte de vakre utsiktene til Palm Tree Island og byens skyskrapere. I nord ligger de fleste av de historiske stedene, inkludert Umm Salal Mohammed, en relativt stor landsby dominert av ruinene av en festning fra 1800-tallet. Spesielt interessant er den store moskeen med sine mange kupler og Abu Bakir al-Siddiq-moskeen. På vestkysten er det fine strender ved Umm Bab, Dukhan og Salwah nær den saudiske grensen. Sør er en region med sanddyner og strender, som tilbyr muligheter for å gå på perlejakt, eller å praktisere en rekke vannsporter.
