The Khuzam Palace is a landmark that showcases the beauty of modern architecture. It was named Khuzam due to the lavender (Khuzama in Arabic) surrounding it. The construction of the palace began in 1928 and was completed in 1932. It was the first building in Jeddah to be constructed using cement and iron. King Abdulaziz ordered its construction during his stay at the Nassif House. Today, Khuzam Palace is one of the most important museums in Saudi Arabia. Tahaliyah Street is one of the most prestigious and vital main streets in Jeddah. It is a commercial hub with numerous brand-name shopping centers lining its sides, as well as the finest restaurants, multiple shopping centers, and lavish offices. Taif is a great place for families, with over 3000 garden parks spread across the city and its surrounding areas; in the evenings, these parks are filled with families enjoying a full meal on blankets. Some bring sheesha, filling the night with a sweet, smoky scent. Taif isn't famous for its restaurants, so purchasing everything you need from a market and having a picnic is a fantastic alternative. The city is especially popular among tourists for its roses and fruit – particularly honey-sweet figs, grapes, prickly pears, and pomegranates. During the summer, Taif becomes the unofficial capital of the Kingdom when the king moves here.
